Basil Andrew


Brigadier Basil John Andrew was an officer in the Australian Army during both World War I and World War II. He was the Deputy AdjutantGeneral of I Australian Corps in Greece. OnApril 1941, he died in Alexandria, Egypt, of an illness.

He was born in Victoria in 1894, the son of John Arthur and Catherine Mary Andrew of Launceston, Tasmania. Educated at Scotch College, Launceston, upon graduation he went to Duntroon Military College.
